After finishing his B.A. in Journalism, Eduardo Castro Neves, born in Rio de Janeiro, studied Performing Arts in Brazil and at the Wichita State University in the USA. In Brazil, among other companies, he danced with the BCRJ (Balé Contemporâneo do Rio de Janeiro) and in the USA with MADT (Mid-America Dance Theatre).
In 1997 he moved to Europe to perform at the Opera of Bonn in Germany, where he stayed for two seasons, working with different choreographers such as Jonathan Lamb (England) and Melissa King (USA).
Between 1998 and 1999 he took part on a tour throughout the Netherlands and Germany inside of the Dance-Link Project, working with Tamara Stuart Ewing (USA) and Martin Butler (England).
In France, at the Fondation Royaumont outside of Paris, he worked with the American choreographer, Susan Buirge, a former dancer of Alwin Nikolais.
Since then he has worked with Olivier Gabrys, Franck Baranek, Damien Dreux and Patrice Barthes (France), Eun-Ok Choi (Korea), Natassa Zouka (Greece), Catharina Gadelha, Josef Eder, André Buch, Rebecca Rashid, Petra Schmitz, Alexandra Dederichs and Guido Marcowitz (Germany), Heidi Weiss and Jennifer Mann (USA) and Francesca Stampone (Italy).
He has also worked two years as member of the german-american company Zen in the Basement (Berlin/Philadelphia) with whom he has performed in March 1997 in Seville at the Festival internacional de artes escénicas de Sevilla and three years with the french company Homnibus, perfoming in France and Switzerland.
He performed last in Berlin at the12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics Berlin 2009.
